ETH Green Labs Certification
Laboratory operations at ETH Zurich have a significant impact on the environment. The potential for resource-conserving laboratory operations is being researched and the laboratories are being certified for their sustainability efforts by ETH Green Labs, in line with the ETH Net Zero objective to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
In January 2024, the Theoretical Biology Group received Bronze certification from ETH GreenLabs in collaboration with external page LEAF (Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework) and is now working towards their Gold certification.
